Excellence in Islamic Education
Established in 2014, IQRA Madrasah started its first class with the inception of the IQRA Masjid and Community Centre with only handful of students. Alhamdullilah today with the help of Allah and support of Newport Muslim community, IQRA Madrasah has currently over 250 students, 12 teachers and 10 classes taking place on a regular basis.

At IQRA Madrasah we are dedicated to providing quality Islamic education in a part-time format that accommodates the busy schedules of our community. Founded with the vision of making Islamic knowledge accessible to everyone, IQRA Madrasah offers evening classes for kids from Reception up to Year 11. We believe that Islamic evening Madrasah should not be limited only to the learning the recitation of Quran but also cover practical aspects of the deen as taugh by our beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw). For this IQRA Madrasah follows state of the art curriculum known as An-Nasiha.

Madrasah new academic year restarts on the 2nd Sept 2024

Madrasah academic year 2024-2025 will reopen from 2nd September. New kids will be offered induction on the 1st Sept 2024.
4th Annual Prize Giving (JALSAH) to take place on the 22nd and 23rd July
July 23, 2024
Prize giving for year 2023-2024 will take place on the 22nd and 23rd July 2024. Madrasah kids will perform nasheeds and Quranic recitation. High acheivers during final exams will be given prizes. Parents are requested to come show support.
Academic year 2024-2025 new application open for Reception only
August 15, 2024
Applications open for academic year 2024-2025. Deadline is 15th Aug 2024. Application does not mean a place is guaranteed. Pupils will be offered a place based on the availability.
